Rosa Galyamovna Salikhova (Russian: Роза Галямовна Салихова, Tatar: Роза Галләм кызы Салихова; 24 September 1944 – 26 March 2026) was a volleyball player for the Soviet Union.[1]

Biography

Salikhova was a major player in helping the Soviet Union's women's national volleyball team to dominate the world in the late 1960s to early 1970s by winning at the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games, the 1970 FIVB Women's World Championship, the 1972 Munich Olympic Games and the 1973 FIVB Women's World Cup in a row.[2]

Death

Salikhova's death at the age of 81 was announced on 26 March 2026.[3]
