Rosalyn Moran

Rosalyn J. Moran is an Irish and British engineer and neuroscientist.[1] She is CEO and Co-Founder of Stanhope AI, the 'Active Inference'-based world model artificial intelligence solutions provider.[2]. She is Professor of Computational Neuroscience at King's College London; her research has been based on understanding neural algorithms through brain connectivity.

Moran grew up in Ireland, where she studied applied mathematics at the local boys school.[3] Moran was an undergraduate and postgraduate student in electronic engineering at the University College Dublin. Her doctoral research applied information theory to biomedical signal processing.[4] During her PhD, she met a scientist who was combining electrical and chemical analysis of schizophrenia, and became interested in pursuing a career in neuroscience.[3] She was a postdoctoral researcher at University College London supported by the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging.[citation needed]
