Roy Pollard (27 August 1927[3] – 30 October 2012[citation needed]) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He played at representative level for Great Britain and England, and at club level for Dewsbury, as a wing.[1]

Roy Pollard's birth was registered in Wakefield district, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and he died aged 85 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.[citation needed]

Rugby league career

Club career

Pollard played rugby union for Wakefield and Huddersfield before signing for rugby league club Dewsbury in 1948.[4]

International honours

Roy Pollard won caps for England while at Dewsbury in 1949 against France, and in 1950 against Wales, and won a cap for Great Britain while at Dewsbury in 1950 against New Zealand.
