Rural Missionaries of the Philippines

The Rural Missionaries of the Philippines is a national organization in the Philippines composed of female and male religious clergy and laypeople who advocate for the welfare of peasants in the Philippines. The organization engages in missionary and advocacy work among rural communities of farmers, fisherfolk, and indigenous people on the improvement of their lives and on their human rights.[1] The group has faced continuous opposition from the Philippine government because of its missionary work.
