The Russian Individual Speedway Championship is the national individual motorcycle speedway championship of Russia. It was first held in 1960 and, during the Soviet era, was contested alongside the separate Soviet Union Individual Speedway Championship.[1][2]

History
Ufa was the dominant centre in the championship's early years, with riders from the city winning each of the first seven titles.[2] The city's influence remained significant long after that initial run. At the time of the 60th championship in 2019, riders from Ufa had won more Russian individual titles than those from any other city.[3]
Mikhail Starostin became the championship's most successful rider, winning seven titles and fourteen medals in total.[4] He won his first title in 1975 and his seventh in 1991, a sixteen-year span that remains unmatched in the history of the competition.[2]
The championship has most often been decided by a final meeting, although multi-round finals have also been used.
