Salim Abubakar (born 6 April 2003) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Albanian club Skënderbeu. Born in Ghana, he plays for the Niger national team.
Abubakar arrived in Italy in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic where he joined the youth academy of Sassuolo.[2] On 1 September 2021, he extended his professional contract with Sassuolo until 2026.[3] He made 4 appearances on the bench for the senior team in 2022.[2]
On 30 August 2024, Abubakar was loaned to Pergolettese in Serie C.[4]
In July 2025, Abubakar moved to Skënderbeu in Albania.[5]
