Sam Hecht (born April 3, 2003)[1] is an American professional football center for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Kansas State Wildcats.

Hecht attended Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, Kansas.[1]

Hecht joined Kansas State University as a walk-on in 2021. After redshirting his first year in 2021, he played in 42 games with 25 starts at center from 2022 to 2025.[2] As a senior in 2025, he was named first team All-Big 12.[3] He did not allow a sack during his college career.[4]

Hecht was selected to play in the 2026 Senior Bowl and was invited to the 2026 NFL Combine.[5][6]
