Sam Roush (born September 6, 2003)[1] is an American college football tight end for the Stanford Cardinal.

Early life

Roush attended Valley Christian School in San Jose, California before transferring to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.[2][3] He also played defense in high school and was the 2021 Tennessee Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Roush committed to Stanford to play college football.[4]

College career

Roush played at Stanford from 2022 to 2025. He became a starter during his sophomore year in 2023.[5] For his career he had 119 receptions for 1,201 yards and four touchdowns.

His uncles, Merlin Olsen and Orrin Olsen, and grandfather Phil Olsen all played in the NFL.[9]
