Samares Das (10 February 1945 – 17 August 2020)[1] was an Indian politician from West Bengal. He was elected three times to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Egra Assembly constituency in Purba Medinipur district. He was last elected in the 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election representing the All India Trinamool Congress. He is the third West Bengal politician who died of COVID 19.[2][3]
