From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Samir Feriani is a Tunisian official (sources variously described him as a police officer[1][2] or a senior Interior Ministry employee[3]). A whistleblower, he was arrested in May 2011 and came to be known as the "first 'Prisoner of Conscience' in the post revolutionary Tunisia".[4] He was released in September 2011, and acquitted of most charges in March 2012.
