Sarah Stevens (politician)

Sarah Suzanne Stevens (born February 15, 1960) is a former Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. She represented the 90th district (including constituents in Surry and Wilkes counties) from 2009 to 2026 and served as speaker pro tempore from 2017 to 2025.[1][2] Stevens resigned from the chamber in order to focus on her campaign for a seat on the North Carolina Supreme Court in the 2026 elections.[3][4]
