Sarojini Shankar Vaidya (15 June 1933 – 3 August 2007[citation needed]) was a Marathi writer and specialist in the society and culture of 19th and 20th-century Maharashtra.[1]
Vaidya received her PhD from the University of Bombay, submitting a thesis on the Marathi writer Natyachhatakar Diwakar.[1] She later became a professor and head of the university's department of Marathi.[1]
