Sayaka Hirota
Japanese badminton player (born 1994)

Sayaka Hirota (廣田 彩花, Hirota Sayaka; born 1 August 1994) is a Japanese badminton player affiliated with Gifu Bluvic team.[1][2] She and her partner Yuki Fukushima won the 2017 Most Improved Player of the Year award.[3] Hirota and Fukushima were ranked world No. 1 at the BWF World Ranking on 21 June 2018.[4]

Hirota began competing with Ayako Sakuramoto, and the pair reached the quarterfinals of the All England Open in March.[5] Later in the year, the duo advanced to the final of the Super 500 Malaysia Masters, where they finished as runners-up to Chen Fanshutian and Luo Xumin.[6]

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018,[14] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tour is divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300 (part of the HSBC World Tour), and the BWF Tour Super 100.[15]

BWF Superseries (1 title, 2 runners-up)
The BWF Superseries, which was launched on 14 December 2006 and implemented in 2007,[27] was a series of elite badminton tournaments, sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). BWF Superseries levels were Superseries and Superseries Premier. A season of Superseries consisted of twelve tournaments around the world that had been introduced since 2011.[28] Successful players were invited to the Superseries Finals, which were held at the end of each year.
