Controversies

Following an investigation into alleged fraud involving European Union agricultural subsidies, two ministers and two deputy ministers resigned from their cabinet positions:[18] rural development minister Kostas Tsiaras and his deputy Christos Kellas, civil protection minister Giannis Kefalogiannis, and deputy health minister Dimitris Vartzopoulos. They denied any wrongdoing, saying their resignations were intended to assist the investigation.[30][31]
