Seher – Hone Ko Hai is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 2 December 2025 on Colors TV and streamed on JioHotstar. Produced by Richa Yamini under Icecream Dreams and Aarambh Entertainment. It stars Rishita Kothari and Parth Samthaan. The series story is a loose adaptation of Turkish drama Kizil Goncalar.[1]

Plot
Sixteen-year-old Seher Baig has a secret. In Husainpur, far from her father's crushing orthodoxy and cruelty, she studies in secret under her mother Kauser's guidance, nurturing a dream her father would never allow: to become a doctor.
But when she's forced to move to Lucknow and live under his roof, that fragile dream begins to slip through her fingers. And then her father makes a decision that tightens the bars: her engagement to Mahid Niyazi, the grandson of the city's revered mufti and a man whose name alone commands fear and respect. Mahid is principled, they say. Fair. Conservative. But he is also rigid, sharp-tongued, and morally unbending with a temper that keeps even his family at arm's length.
Now Seher finds herself bound to a man she never chose, in a household that watches her every move, with a father who sees her ambition as defiance. Society watches too. Always watching, always judging.
Against all of it, Seher holds on to her dream. But in a world that has already decided who she should be, how far can one girl go to become who she is meant to be?

Production
Release
In late October 2025, Colors TV unveiled a teaser introducing the new show titled Seher – Hone Ko Hai, featuring Rishita Kothari and Mahhi Vij.[2] The series was released on 2 December 2025.[3]
Casting
Parth Samthaan was confirmed to play male lead, Mahid.[4] Mahhi Vij was reported join the cast as Kausar, and marks Vij's return to TV after a 9-year hiatus.[5] Apurva Agnihotri was signed for the role of Dr. Farid.[6] Vaquar Shaikh were announced join as Parvez.[7]
