Seoul Economic Daily (Korean: 서울경제) is a South Korean newspaper. It covers business, finance, and economic policy. It was founded in 1960.[1]

Description

The paper was founded on 1 August 1960, as a sister paper of another newspaper Hankook Ilbo. It became independent from Hankook Ilbo on 1 October 2000. On 10 October 2008, it esablished a television channel called Seoul Economic Network TV [ko].[1]

In the mid-2020s, Seoul Economic Daily developed artificial intelligence-related newsroom projects including AI LINK and AI PRISM. Aju Press described AI LINK as an AI-based newsroom cycle covering production, personalization, video and global expansion.[2]

In 2026, AI LINK shared the grand prize in the digital service and business category at the Korea Online Newspaper Association’s Digital Journalism Innovation Awards.[2] Later that year, AI LINK: Let News Flow won WAN-IFRA’s Digital Media Award for Best AI-Driven News Product, Format, or Strategy.[3][4] AI PRISM was also listed as a finalist in the Best Newsletter category of the WAN-IFRA Digital Media Awards 2026.[5]
