Shaundelle Brooks

Shaundelle Brooks is a democratic Tennessee State Representative representing District 60.[1] Brown was first elected in 2024 to serve on the 114th General Assembly after winning 54% of the vote.[2]

Brooks was born and raised in Brooklyn to parents who were both police officers.[3] Brooks was also the mother of Akilah Dasilva, one of the victims of the 2018 Nashville Waffle House Shooting and ran on a platform of addressing gun violence.[2][4]
