Shipitsyno (Russian: Шипи́цыно) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Kotlassky District of Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia, located on the left bank of the Northern Dvina River 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) from Kotlas. Municipally, it is the administrative center of Shipitsynskoye Urban Settlement, one of the three urban settlements in the district. Population: 3,452 (2010 Census);[2] 3,930 (2002 Census);[6] 4,795 (1989 Soviet census).[7].
