(Ernst Georg) Siegfried Schmutzler (14 March 1915 – 11 October 2003) was a German Evangelical Lutheran pastor.[1]

Schmutzler was also a political activist who campaigned against the Single-Party dictatorship of the German Democratic Republic. He hit the headlines as a victim of one of the show trials that proliferated in East Germany during the 1950s.[2]
