The Singapore Food Festival is an annual event in the Asian city-state of Singapore. Taking place every year from the end of June to the end of July, it is organised by the Singapore Tourism Board.[1]
Composed of weekly core events, themed celebrations, culinary workshops, and competitions organised island-wide, this month-long festival celebrates the local perennial food favourites that have given Singapore an international reputation of a diverse food heaven.[2] In 2025, the theme was "Have You Eaten Yet?"[3] Some of the local features include: Hawker Wine Safari,[4] Kueh Appreciation Day,[5] the Singapore Tea Festival, the 50 Cents Fest[6] and more.
The Singapore Food Festival includes a diverse array of local cuisines, reflecting the nation's rich multicultural heritage which includes:
- Hainanese chicken rice – tender, poached chicken served with fragrant rice and accompanied by chili sauce and ginger paste
- chilli crab – a signature Singaporean dish featuring succulent crab cooked in a spicy tomato-based sauce
- laksa – a spicy noodle soup with a rich coconut-milk base, often garnished with prawns, fish cakes, and bean sprouts
- satay – skewered and grilled meat served with a flavorful peanut sauce
