Her debut single, "Hairdresser", entered the UK Singles Chart upon its release in March 2025, peaking at number 15 in April.[1][2] Her second single, "Family Matters" became her first UK top 10 hit, reaching number five in June 2025. Her debut EP SE9 Part 1 was released in October 2025.
Artistry
A south-east London (SE9[3]) native,[4] Newman has cited her aunt Moona,[5] a jazz and blues singer, as a formative influence on her music, singing Cup Song at her funeral.[6]
She attended BRIT Kids, a BRIT School Saturday School for kids and teenagers,[7] but failed her auditions for BRIT School.[8]
She has named Amy Winehouse, Adele, Bob Marley, and Eminem among her musical inspirations.[9]
