Solnechnogorsky District

Solnechnogorsky District (Russian: Солнечного́рский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,135.04 square kilometers (438.24 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Solnechnogorsk.[1] Population: 128,580 (2010 Census);[3] 124,369(2002 census);[7] 71,832(1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Solnechnogorsk accounts for 41.2% of the district's total population.[3]
