Solomon Lutnick

Solomon M. Lutnick (September 6, 1928 in New York City – September 13, 1979 in Syosset, Long Island[1]) was an American historian.

Salomon Lutnick was born in the Bronx, the son of a laundry owner. In 1950, he married Jane Lieberman from New Jersey, with whom he had a daughter and two sons. Both of his parents are Jewish. His son Howard Lutnick became Secretary of Commerce of the United States in 2025.[2] Lutnick's wife Jane, who was a sculptor and painter, died in 1978 at the age of forty-two.[3]
