Songoro, Meru

Songoro is an administrative ward in the Meru District of the Arusha Region of Tanzania. The ward covers an area of 114.0 km² (44.0 sq mi),^[1] and has an average elevation of 1,285 m (4,216 ft).^[2] The ward is the source of the Kikuletwa River through the Tengeru River as a tributary which eventually leads to the Pangani River. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 11,139.^[3]
