Sonyaa Ayoddhya[1] is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi television and digital media.[2] She is known for her portrayals of Ruby in Nazar[3], Tanvi in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and for her lead role in the StarPlus series Jaadu Teri Nazar.[4][5]

Ayoddhya was born in Mumbai and moved to Auckland, New Zealand during her childhood. She attended the Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland for her elementary and secondary education.[6] Before entering the entertainment industry, she worked as a model and participated in international beauty pageants. In 2025, she was awarded a Diploma in Trauma Healing through The Empower Project, an initiative focused on mental health and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).[7]

Career

Sonyaa made her television debut in 2018 as Ruby in the supernatural thriller Nazar.[8] She subsequently joined the cast of the rebooted Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2019)[9] and the social drama Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (2020).

In 2025, she played the lead role in the Star Plus series Jaadu Teri Nazar.[4] During the same year, she was cast in the role of Vedika in an upcoming project.[10] In March 2025, she made her digital streaming debut in Kill Dill – The Heartbreak Club on Amazon MX Player.[11]

Public image and lifestyle

Ayoddhya is a practitioner of veganism, citing mental clarity and mindfulness as primary reasons for her dietary choices.[12] She has publicly advocated for environmental coexistence and animal rights.
