Production
The concept for Soulmates – Oru Saathukkudi Pranayam was introduced in Bethlehem Kudumba Unit as a short film being made by the character Joel Davis, played by Sangeeth Prathap.[8]
The scenes depicting Joel's filmmaking received attention from audiences for their comic references and presentation.[9]
Following the response to those scenes, the makers produced a complete version of the fictional short film. The completed film was presented by Moreli Pictures, with Joel Davis credited with the writing and conception and Justin Davis credited with the production within the film's fictional setting.[10]
The project incorporates characters and elements from Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, retaining its film-within-a-film premise.[11]
