The South Africa cricket team toured Australia in August 2025 to play the Australia cricket team.[1][2][3] The tour consisted of three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.[4][5] In March 2025, the Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, as a part of the 2025 home international season.[6]

On 10 August, Aaron Hardie was added into the T20I squad as a cover for Matthew Short.[11] On 12 August, Alex Carey was added to the T20I squad for second and third T20Is as a cover for Josh Inglis, due to 'flu-like symptoms'.[12] On 14 August, Lance Morris (back injury), Mitchell Owen (concussion) and Matthew Short (side injury) were ruled out of the ODI series, and were replaced by Matthew Kuhnemann, Aaron Hardie and Cooper Connolly.[13][14] On 24 August, Sean Abbott was added to the squad for third ODI.
On 18 August, Kwena Maphaka was added into the ODI squad.[15][16] On 19 August, Kagiso Rabada was ruled out of the ODI series due to an inflammation of his right ankle.[17][18]

- This was South Africa's biggest loss in terms of runs and second-biggest score conceded.[28]
- This was Australia's second highest ODI total and second biggest win in terms of runs.[29] It was also the highest ODI total in Australia.
