South Boardman is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kalkaska County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, South Boardman had a population of 509.[3] South Boardman is located within Boardman Township.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has an area of 3.34 square miles (8.65 km2), of which 3.29 square miles (8.52 km2) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) (1.50%) is water.[4]
It is approximately 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Kalkaska along U.S. Route 131. South Boardman has its own post office with the 49680 ZIP Code.[5][6]
