Sphegina culex is a species of hoverfly in the family Syrphidae found in Kambaiti Pass, Myanmar, a montane forest with swampy areas and streams located 2000 meters above sea level.[1]
The name comes from Latin 'culex', meaning 'mosquito', referring to the mosquito-like appearance of the fly.[1]
