St. Gr. Lusavorich Monastery (Shurud)

St. Gr. Lusavorich Monastery was an Armenian monastery located in the village of Shurud (Julfa District) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.[1] The monastery was located 1.5–2 km northeast of the village.[1][2][3]

The founding date of the monastery is unknown. According to an Armenian inscription on the bell tower, the people of Shurud renovated the church in 1708; renovated again at the end of the 18th century and the middle of the 19th.[2][3]
