Starovatovo (Russian: Староватово; Yakut: Староватово) is a rural locality (a selo) in Khalbakinsky Rural Okrug of Vilyuysky District in the Sakha Republic, Russia, 12 kilometers (7.5 mi) from Vilyuysk, the administrative center of the district, and 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from Tosu, the administrative center of the rural okrug.[1] Its population as of the 2010 Census was 78,[2] down from 93 recorded during the 2002 Census.[1]
