The Statute Law Revision Act 1953 (2 & 3 Eliz. 2. c. 5) is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

As of 2026[update], the act remains partly in the United Kingdom.[1]
The effect of this act is set out in the Report of the Joint Committee on Consolidation and Statute Law Revision Bills, with the proceedings and minutes of evidence, dated 19 November 1953.[2]
Subsequent developments
The entry relating to the Agricultural Development Act 1939 (2 & 3 Geo. 6. c. 48) in the fourth schedule to the act was repealed by section 36(1)(a) of, and part I of the schedule to, the Agriculture Act 1957 (5 & 6 Eliz. 2. c. 57), which came into force on 1 September 1957.[3]
The words "to the court of the county palatine of Lancaster or" in section 2 of the act were repealed by section 56(4) of, and part II of schedule 11 to, the Courts Act 1971, which came into force on 1 January 1972.[4]
Section 4(1) of the act was repealed by section 41(1) of, and part 1 of schedule 6 to, the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973, which came into force on 18 July 1973.[5]
This section was repealed by section 32(4) of, and part V of schedule 5 to, the Administration of Justice Act 1977, which came into force on 29 July 1977.[6]
The first, second and third schedules to, and the entry relating to section 22 of the Naval Volunteers Act 1853 (16 & 17 Vict. c. 73) in the fourth schedule to, the act were repealed by section 1 of, and part XI of the schedule to, the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1974, which came into force on 27 June 1974.[7]
The enactments which were repealed (whether for the whole or any part of the United Kingdom) by the act were repealed so far as they extended to the Isle of Man by section 1(1) of, and schedule 1 to, the Statute Law Revision (Isle of Man) Act 1991, which came into force on 25 July 1991.[8]
Section 1 of the act was repealed by section 1(1) of, and group 1 of part IX of schedule 1 to, the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1998, which came into force on 19 November 1998.[9]
