Career

Bertelli began directing music videos in 2002. Since 2014, he has specialized in handcrafted paper stop-motion animation.[2] He has directed music videos for artists including Eminem, Pink Floyd, Motörhead and Robbie Williams.[1] In 2021, Bertelli received a Webby Award for his animated music video work.[3] Together with producer Riccardo Orlandi, he co-founded the independent production company Seenfilm.[1]

Spacetime Chronicles

Bertelli's debut feature film, Spacetime Chronicles, evolved from the music video Don't Make It a Song, created for the French band Camel Power Club.[3] The project expanded from a short film into a 70-minute feature.[1][4]

The film premiered in the Contrechamp competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2026.[1] It was subsequently selected for the Anima Brussels International Animation Festival, BAFICI, Raindance Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh and the Fantasia International Film Festival, where it competed for the Satoshi Kon Award.[5]

International sales rights for the film were acquired by Urban Sales following its presentation at the Marché du Film during the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.[6]
