Streptomyces leeuwenhoekii is a bacterium species from the genus of Streptomyces which has been isolated from hyper-arid desert soil from Salar de Atacama in Chile.[1][2] Streptomyces leeuwenhoekii produces chaxalactins and chaxamycins.[2][3][4]
