Strobilanthes crispa is a shrub which originated from Madagascar,[2] and is now found across south east Asia.[3] It is a member of the family Acanthaceae.[2] It is known as pokok pecah kaca or pokok pecah beling in Malaysia,[2] and pecah beling, enyoh kilo, kecibeling or kejibeling in Indonesia.[citation needed] The leaves are used traditionally for treatment of cancer and diabetes,[2] usually taken as a tea or infusion of the leaves.[3]
