This species occurs widely across South America, findings have been documented in Panama,^[4] Colombia,^[4][6] Ecuador,^[4] Peru,^[4] Bolivia,^[4] Brazil,^[4][7] French Guiana,^[4][8] and Suriname.^[4][9] Recent observations through citizen science apps, confirm these documented recordings.^[1][3]

It has an habitat at low altitude and in moist forests.^[4]
