Sunny Jorge

Sunny Jorge (born Ali Gooseberry) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record label founder, and philanthropist from New Brunswick, New Jersey.[1] He is the founder of KoolAid Baby Entertainment, an independent record label based in New Jersey.

Career
Gooseberry began making music in the early 2000s. He released his debut album A Day For You in 2020. In 2022, he released the EP Venus, produced by 973studios, which featured a collaboration with Fetty Wap on the track "Murder She Wrote".[2][3]
In 2023, he released the single "Bright Lights".[4] That same year, a Forbes contributor article cited Gooseberry as a case study in multi-genre artist growth strategy, noting his blend of electronica-infused hip-hop.[5]
In March 2024, "Lose You" featuring Ariel Houston reached number 22 on the iTunes world music chart.[6]
Community involvement
In 2022, Gooseberry gained local recognition after rescuing a teenage girl who had become trapped on a rooftop in East Orange, New Jersey. The incident was covered by News 12 New Jersey, which noted that Gooseberry had been cosigned by Fetty Wap.[7]
Health and philanthropy
In 2023, Gooseberry was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and underwent brain surgery performed by Dr. James K. Liu, professor of neurological surgery and director of cerebrovascular skull base and pituitary surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. His case and recovery were featured in NJMS Pulse, the official magazine of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.[8]
Following his recovery, Gooseberry was featured in a Rutgers Health television commercial that aired across New Jersey on networks including ESPN, News 12, Bravo, and NFL Network, reaching over 1.8 million households.[9] He also began helping at-risk youth in Newark learn music and establish their artistic careers.[10]
