Susan Louise Marsh was an American activist, author, and children's advocate. Marsh is responsible for ending the sole guardianship laws in the state of Missouri through her persistent dedication for change. She was named Poet Laureate of Missouri in 1933 by the Poet Laureate League.[1]

Susan Louise Cotton Marsh was born on April 23, 1867, in Troy, Indiana.[2] She was the daughter of Cullen Columbus Cotton & Ann Connot.
