Talk:1897–98 Colombian presidential election

This source says that the election was held in 1897, not 1898. Thenightaway (talk) 03:35, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

It appears (based on this) that it was held over both, with the electoral college elected on 5 December 1897 and the college electing the president on 1 February 1898 (similar to 1875–76 Colombian presidential election). Happy to move it to 1897–98 Colombian presidential election. Number 57 15:18, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

Interesting, thanks for checking on this. A move to a 1897-98 sounds like an improvement then. I wonder if this also applies to other Colombian elections in this time period. Thenightaway (talk) 19:03, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

Looking at that source, the 1891–92 one clearly was. Not sure about others though. Number 57 20:02, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
