Third paragraph in the introduction part is heavily left-wing biased
If you seriously try to portray a communist like Jara as "centre-left and pragmatic" while smearing opponent Kast as "far-right extremist" you have a massive problem with your own political stances. wikipedia should remain neutral and objective and not become a shill for people on the left. ~2025-31816-19 (talk) 00:48, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- I suggest we take the human rights organizations mentioned and have a reaction section.
- The user adding the parts about Jara being a moderate is a far left anarchist. HoopaRoopa (talk) 00:54, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- Excuse me but in the part for the Chilean Senate -No, the left-wing parties DO NOT have a majority.
- The Chilean senate is composed of 50 seats and both right-wing groups have a combined total of 25 seats. Unidad por Chile has 20 seats, the Greens/Reg./Humanists group has 3 seats, and if those 2 independents are left-wing -then that's a total of 25 for the Left, hence the Chilean senate is split 50/50 and no one has an outright majority.
- Please correct the heading on the Senate results because it is inaccurate. ~2025-34340-09 (talk) 15:24, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: OP has been blocked for repeated vandalism. Borgenland (talk) 17:23, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- Agreed, this article (especially the leading paragraph) is grossly biased. ~2025-32428-26 (talk) 19:54, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- The issue is that the entire third paragraph is unsupported by the sources cited within it and egregiously non-NPOV. Further, undue weight is given to Kast's past positions. Dr Fell (talk) 19:59, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- much of this horrible third paragraph has been wiped out but still: Calling a communist "centre-left and pragmatic" doesn`t pass the smell test. ~2025-35661-10 (talk) 21:43, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
party to "alliance"
Would it be possible to change the word "party" to "alliance" in the infobox table? It seems all the "parties" are electoral coalitions (except for maybe one) Slomo666 (talk) 22:25, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- The names listed are the ones they use. If those names reflect their true nature or not, that's none of our business. Cambalachero (talk) 22:59, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- I think you might be misunderstanding what I said. I mean that the table currently says party at the top of the table.
| − | + | Alliance
UpCh
Great and United Chile
CpCh
Green Regionalists
|
- The party's Wikipedia entry for UpCh for instance already states:
"Unidad por Chile (lit. 'Unity for Chile'), formerly known informally as the Government Alliance (Spanish: Alianza de Gobierno) is a Chilean coalition of politiсal parties that are part of the government of Gabriel Boric. The coalition was formed on 6 November 2022 after a meeting called by the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, held at the Palace of Cerro Castillo, where the presidents of the political parties, parliamentarians and authorities that are part of the government can summer."
- It is this
Coalition of political parties
that I mean when I say it should be "alliance" rather than "party". - Slomo666 (talk) 00:15, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
Why is the map of Chile showing the result by the leading candidate...
split in two pieces? ~2025-35661-10 (talk) 02:19, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
