Talk:2026 Premier Volleyball League draft

The draft order and lottery chances were calculated with a new formula as written in this Tiebreaker Times article. Their calculation takes into account the team's actual rankings, but upon doing the calculation, Nxled would be 5th and Akari would be 6th as shown in the table as of writing this.

I thought it was off until I did a new calculation, but adjusted it to exclude inactive teams similar to how the PBA excludes guest teams in their calculations. It resulted in the same order but with Akari at 5th and Nxled at 6th, matching the actual draft order. So perhaps, that was the calculation the PVL used. MarcusAbacus (talk) 14:37, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

The adjusted calculation would be as follows:

1. Capital1: 8th (0.80) + 6th (0.90) + 8th (6.00) = 7.70
2. Galeries Tower: 9th (0.90) + 9th (1.35) + 7th (5.25) = 7.50
3. Zus Coffee: 5th (0.50) + 1st (0.15) + 9th (6.75) = 7.40
4. Choco Mucho: 7th (0.70) + 7th (1.05) + 6th (4.50) = 6.25
5. Akari: 6th (0.60) + 2nd (0.30) + 5th (3.75) = 4.65
6. Nxled: 3rd (0.30) + 8th (1.20) + 4th (3.00) = 4.50
7. Farm Fresh: 4th (0.40) + 4th (0.60) + 3rd (2.25) = 3.25
8. PLDT: 1st (0.10) + 3rd (0.45) + 2nd (1.50) = 2.05
9. Creamline: 2nd (0.20) + 5th (0.75) + 1st (0.75) = 1.70
