We need to weigh our sources equal to what their worth. While some sources may give Alan Berg's birth date as January 1st or January 18th, the fact that we don't use his birth record to settle the dispute is a little dishonest to the weight of what it's worth. If Berg's birth record claims he was born January 9, 1934, while some sources agreed or even claimed otherwise (such as the case here), then Berg was probably born on January 9, 1934. This shouldn't be a debate but I'm not going to make this edit because I've been on Wikipedia long enough to know that it's just going to get reverted without a consensus. - MountainJew6150 (talk) 02:27, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
