900 rounds?
Richtofen "fired 900 rounds" at his opponent before downing him? Did WW1 aircraft even carry that many rounds? That would be a fairly large ammunition supply even for a 1939 fighter, very heavy. I thought like 2-300 rounds per gun was more likely. If true that must have been pretty much all his ammunition. I guess two 250 round belts for each gun isn't impossible, just seems like a surprising number for such a low powered machine. Idumea47b (talk) 20:05, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
