Photo Change Request

NOTE: I’m proposing the following edit and photo change request for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Meta. I am a paid editor and aware of the COI guidelines.

Photo Change Request

The photo currently used in this article is from 2022. I recently submitted a current photo (2025) to Wikimedia Commons on Meta’s behalf. I’d like to swap the older photo currently used in this article for this 2025 photo: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Alexandr_Wang,_Chief_A.I._Officer,_Meta.jpg

Per the guidelines, I know editors with a COI may update article photos, which I’m happy to do, but first wanted to confirm I am clear to do so, or turn this over to another editor to handle. Please let me know how I should proceed. Thanks for your time and consideration. Jon Gray (talk) 13:40, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

@Jon Gray please provide a neutral, real and not artificially enhanced pic. This pic looks artificially enhanced and i will remove it Cinaroot (talk) 04:38, 27 October 2025 (UTC)

@Truthnope Thank you! Jon Gray (talk) 13:18, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
@Truthnope, @Jon Gray, please see Wikipedia:Village pump (idea lab)#AI enhanced picture on biographies should be prohibited, where Cinaroot (who reverted this change) continues the discussion over whether File:Alexandr Wang, Chief A.I. Officer, Meta.jpg is an AI-enhanced photo. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:14, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Noted and thanks for flagging. Jon Gray (talk) 18:06, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
@Jon Gray Are you able to confirm or refute the claim that it was AI enhanced? aaronneallucas (talk) 05:37, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
...and maybe add by which definition of "AI enhanced" the question is being answered? WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:37, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
@Aplucas0703 The photo was certainly photoshopped/staged/lit, etc., but not generated or enhanced by AI. Jon Gray (talk) 21:27, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
@WhatamIdoing Am I completely wrong for thinking that the original image doesn't appear to be significantly changed by artificial intelligence? The level of detail on it seems far and above what artificial intelligence would do. aaronneallucas (talk) 21:39, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
There's never been any evidence of the corporate headshot being anything other than an ordinary studio portrait that one editor (who's currently blocked for unrelated reasons) thought was overly flattering.
I've put the corporate headshot back in the article. I hope that there are no more disputes over this. WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:55, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
@WhatamIdoing Same feeling. Same hope that we don't have any more disputes. I don't think there's any reason for excluding this photo from the article. Also pinging @Jon Gray to inform him of this. aaronneallucas (talk) 22:01, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

What about labor abuses controversy?

Shouldn't there be a section on the accusations against Wang concerning labor abuses in the Philippines and around the world? These are serious allegations.

No - there should not be a new section. Please see WP:BLPBALANCE
