Contested deletion
This page should not be speedily deleted because this version is not a substantially identical recreation of the previously deleted article. The content has been significantly revised to address earlier concerns, particularly regarding sourcing, coverage, and neutrality.
The current version includes new developments and material that were not present in the earlier version, including:
• Coverage of recent events such as the India’s Got Latent controversy and related legal proceedings, including reporting on anticipatory bail granted by the Gauhati High Court.
• Expanded information on his work as a creator, including the web series Ekaki, Aakhri Safar, Pyar Tune Kya Kiya (TV series) and other projects.
• Documented appearances at film premieres and public events, covered by independent media outlets.
• Additional coverage of his career progression and public presence
The article has also been completely rewritten to maintain a neutral, encyclopedic tone and now relies on multiple independent and reliable secondary sources, many of which were not part of the previously deleted version. These include:
• The Indian Express — multiple articles covering his projects (Ekaki), career developments, and public appearances • The Hindu — coverage of official proceedings and controversies (NCW appearance, related matters) • The Economic Times — overview of his career and public profile • Hindustan Times — reporting on his productions and statements • India Today — independent coverage of his creative decisions • Moneycontrol — reporting on projects and collaborations • Firstpost — coverage of public appearances and events • The Times of India — reporting on legal developments and public engagements
These sources provide independent, non-trivial coverage that contributes toward establishing notability in line with Wikipedia guidelines.
Given the substantial additions in sourcing, updated content, and structural revisions, this version differs materially from the previously deleted version and should not qualify for speedy deletion under CSD G4.
I request that the article be assessed on its current merits or, if needed, considered through a full deletion discussion rather than speedy deletion.

- I'm the admin who evaluated this request for speedy delete. I determined the article doesn't qualify for speedy delete under WP:G4 b/c article is not substantially identical to the deleted version. In particular, the article has many more citations than the previously deleted versions, meaning it doesn't qualify for G4. That said, it's possible the subject still doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability standards, so I suggest people bring the article up for WP:AFD. If the consensus of another AfD is delete, the article's subject should be salted to keep from being recreated. SouthernNights (talk) 14:29, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
