Please note: I do a lot of work as an admin in the speedy deletion process. If you came to my talk page because I did or did not speedy delete an article, be aware this process is only supposed to be used "in the most obvious cases." For example, if an article is brought up for speedy delete under criteria A7 but an admin discovers even an "indication of importance" in the article's subject — which doesn't mean that the article's subject meets Wikipedia's notability requirements or is even close to that, but instead has a mere credible claim of importance — we're not supposed to use speedy delete. Sometimes I don't speedy delete an article and instead recommend it to articles for discussion, even through I would personally vote in an AFD to delete it. The reason for this is because speedy delete is very restrictive. If the process wasn't this way, admins could simply delete articles for arbitrary reasons, which no one wants. On the flip side, this also means that if an article was speedy deleted, odds are it has no chance of meeting notability or other guidelines on Wikipedia. Hello SouthernNights. You deleted Reform California today under WP:G7. "A page is eligible for speedy deletion only if all of its history is also eligible." (WP:CSD, 2nd paragraph) Another editor had attempted to add a significant chunk of text to the article, which the page creator reverted. Those revisions were not eligible for G7, so I don't think the page as a whole was eligible either. Toadspike [Talk] 21:38, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Glad to share more info. The article was deleted for both speedy delete criteria G11 (Unambiguous advertising or promotion) and A7 (Article about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject). This means the article felt like both advertising and, more importantly, also didn't come close to meeting Wikipedia's notability guidelines. You can read more about the notability guidelines here. It's not hard to rework the article to not feel promotional but the notability issue is what's going to trip you up. I suggest reading the linked notability guidelines above b/c if you can't provide reliable citations proving notability, the article will keep getting deleted. Yep, the Eldar one met the G15 criteria prior to stubification, but that was declined so I stubified it instead. But I saw that you had deleted it under A7 (not G15), which was why I brought up this other article. --gurkubondinn 12:48, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi SouthernNights! Not sure if this is the right way to reach out to you. Apologies, I'm new-ish to this sandbox.

You previously marked this page for speedy deletion. It has been rewritten with less of a marketing bent, and more of an "historical importance to packaging in Canada," highlighting some of their contributions. One main one is the development of a guide to assist agencies in implementing the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act in Canada. I am trying to get a PDF of the guide for inclusion in Wikimedia Commons to add to the article.

I hope this is better ... and now worthy of inclusion. If not, try try again.
