Bertie: USA vs. Canada
Reading this article I appreciate the time and effort the author put into it. I have some questions on the article as a whole.
Is the Bertie a Geologic Formation or a Geologic Group? Further is it classified different in Canada vs. The USA? All information I have gathered on this geologic unit points towards it being a formation with 3 members. It is either placed in the Salina Group or the Bass Islands group.

Bertie Formation → Bertie Group – While Bertie Group is official in U.S. stratigraphy but not Canadian, many modern Canadian publications use Group. Furthermore the article is already written with Group being the default term. Montanoceratops (talk) 04:07, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- I agree, considering the number of more recent publications referring to it as a group, the fact that the article defaults to a group, and the fact that there are multiple smaller formations within Bertie (Williamsville and Fiddler’s Green among others) should warrant it being moved to more accurately reflect current understanding on the site.
