Question regarding the move of Opportunity Party (New Zealand)
Hey. You recently closed the move discussion on that talk page and moved the article. I supported the move in the form it took. I wanted to, however, play devils advocate and bring a concern the move opposers may have. Wikipedia is not a vote, that is clear. But from what I could gather from the discussion there were three in favor and three against moving. I don't think that represents consensus to move a page. So I would suggest reverting the move and reopening the discussion on a procedural note that it wasn't ripe for closure. Finfixer (talk) 11:07, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
- I'm counting five editors (excluding nom) in favor of moving to "Opportunity Party (New Zealand)" (Qwerty123M, Crouch, Swale, Marcocapalle, Carolina2k22, and you) and two editors against (Traumnovelle and TheLoyalOrder). To me, that does seem like there is consensus to move to the alternate title. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 16:48, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Question
Hi Jeffrey34555, I'm currently trying to get better at RM closing so I want to learn from users more experienced than me. At RM's like Talk:Hassan Mohamed Hussein § Requested move 8 July 2026, what are reasons to rather relist than closing per WP:RMNOMIN? Best, Squawk7700 (talk) 15:45, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- This is just my personal preference, but I usually allow one relist for discussions with no participation to see if anyone has any comment. If still no one replies, then I would move it uncontested. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 15:49, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- Oh ok, thanks for the insight :) Squawk7700 (talk) 22:47, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
Request to reopen the move discussion for Russian profanity
Dear colleague, I hereby respecfully request reopening the move discussion for Russian profanity (see Talk:Russian profanity#Requested move 15 February 2026). The reason is that significant information (a large chasm between mat and Russian non-mat profanity) has not been listed during the discussion and thus was not considered during the discussion or close process. The details are available below the discussion on the Talk page. Thank you in advance! Викидим (talk) 07:05, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, but this RM was closed over 5 months ago, which is far longer than what I would reasonably consider a reopening. If you disagree with the outcome of the RM, I would encourage you to start a new one. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 07:31, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
Premature relisting
Dear Jeffrey34555, do not relist discussions whose seven days (168 hours) have not yet elapsed, as you did at Talk:Scientific management#Requested_move_13_July_2026 (Special:Diff/1365100158). It is counterproductive. See previously, User talk:Jeffrey34555/Archive 2#Seven_day_period_for_RM_closures_and_relists. Adumbrativus (talk) 07:15, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
