Doom Metal
Loads of the bands songs are doom metal + they were very creepy for their time Black sabbath lover 123 (talk) 19:01, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
Not done This has been discussed countless times. Please see this archived discussion here. A long-withstanding consensus was reached a long time ago that the band are the inspiration behind doom metal, not that they are doom metal, with coverage from multiple different sources that they are not doom metal. HorrorLover555 (talk) 02:14, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
Correction
"In a move later parodied in the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, the band made a mistake in ordering the set piece."
This makes it sound like the scene was created as a reaction to the events of the tour. The footage from This Is Spinal Tap had been shot long before the tour, as was explained in Rob Reiner's recent book, A Fine Line Between Stupid and Clever.
