Budapest typo
Budapest is NOT Hungary's "primate" city. It is Hungary's PRIMARY city. 2601:680:CB00:2D:8DE4:63FC:1BDA:7E34 (talk) 20:26, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
- There is the catholic rank of "primate" (primás), and there is a primás in Budapest, so it is not entirely off ;-)
- (In the 90s, a building was officially marked in German as "Primatenpalast", which actually means apes' palace. They were rather unphased when I drew attention to their mistake...) ~2025-28747-43 (talk) 15:33, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
Baths
"Indeed, in 1934 Budapest was officially ranked as a "City of Spas". Today, the baths are mostly frequented by the older generation, as, with the exception of the "Magic Bath" and "Cinetrip" water discos, young people tend to prefer the lidos which are open in the summer."
This is certainly not true. Places like Rudas and Szechenyi are mostly "younger" generation, at least on weekends. Also very popular with tourists. I've never even heard of "Magic Bath" and "Cinetrip". Fluffy McGruff (talk) 19:59, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
BKK
" BKK operates 4 metro lines (...)"
BKK doesn't operate anything (well, a couple of mobile traffic accident investigators by them exist). They are a transport association akin to Transport for London, who will order and pay public transport services and organise ticketing (amongst other things).
The actual providers of BKK are Budapesti Közlekedési Zrt. (which operates Metros, Trams, Trolleybuses and many buses), Hungarian State Railways (local railways and BHÉV suburban railways), Arriva (Buses) and one of the Volánbusz subsidiaries (also Buses), together with a couple of smaller companies ~2025-28747-43 (talk) 15:47, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
Metropolitan Area size discrepancy
The Budapest Metropolitan Area wiki page lists its population as 2,577,384 including Budapest. This page claims that size to be 3.3 million multiple times. This discrepancy needs to be investigated and corrected, or otherwise explained.
For what it's worth, KSH (Hungary's national statistics agency) seems to be the most trustworthy source, their 2023 report supports the the 2.5 million number. ~2026-45852-1 (talk) 16:49, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
